I'm sorry I forgot to tell you guys.

It's been broken for a while and I haven't been able to make any music so I've been focusing on school work. Here's a motion graphics piece I made with the "Daze" beat. I'm still a noob at motion graphics but I hope to get better at it soon enough:

Anyway back to my piece of crap--I mean dead computer. To be fair, I actually liked the computer for a while. It was great for making music in the beginning. Failure after failure I've stuck with it because I was on warranty and got parts replaced for free, but now I'm off warranty and it's just not worth it. .......in case you haven't guessed already my computer was a Dell running windows vista.

Next I hope to finally make the switch and get a MacBook Pro and Dual boot OSX (Maybe Lion) and The Latest Windows Platform. However, due to the expense I don't see myself getting that until until Summertime

:(

So here's a Eulogy/Poem I wrote for my dead Dell XPS 1530 laptop:

Dear sweet 15 by 4
Thou hast faired me well
Through years of great music
'Twas Heaven and Hell

Overheating and crashes
it was a mess
The Dell Man replaced you
"Thank You and God Bless"

Time and Again
You chose not to work
This time for good
You'll miss your boy Sirhc
(Now you know how "Sirhc" is pronounced)

Farewell and Au Revoir
You sweet sugary sap
i'll miss you, well maybe
You piece of crap

The OBVIOUS REASON is SCHOOL.

lol sorry I haven't submitted any beats in a while guys I've been mad busy in my Senior year here and my weekends have pretty much been just work...I haven't even got to party nor hang out with my friends much because of the workload I have. I'm trying to do the best I possibly can for the next two semester so I'm cracking down on my work in college.

My latest project at school involved turning pictures into some kind of experience. If you want to take a look at a project I just finished for my class look BELOW:

This vid obviously features a lot of music content from the NG audio portal. Hope you guys enjoy!

P.S. My next project is working with Flash and I want to make some new beats for that project...I'll also be submitting some new ones to NG as well (you can hold me to that). The project is due on Nov. 21 so I'll try to submit it shortly after that.

Hold tight, guys! More beats will be coming soon!!

Happy birthday Jay Dee (yes, it is still Dilla's bday here on the west coast.)!!!

I was planning to do a Dilla tribute beat to be ready for today, but time and school are killin' me right now guys. In this post I'd just like to wish a happy birthday to THE GREATEST (IMO) HIP-HOP PRODUCER to ever walk the face of the earth.

Although I never knew him personally, I miss Dilla's music more and more each day. Dilla is a HUGE influence on how I make music today. His passion and humble attitude, I believe, conquers all who are in this hip-hop game.

Today, a documentary that I have been EAGERLY (That's putting it lightly) waiting for has finally been released. "J Dilla: Still Shining" is a beautiful doc to J Dilla fans or just plain hip-hop fans. For the first time I finally got to get a rare look on the inside of his studio and his life that has never been seen before. This is not promotional, I'm just really excited about this is all lol. Everything that is said in this doc is how I've felt about his music. The emotion, the swing, the bass, the drums...just everything. Hope you enjoy it.

And now I present to you, "J Dilla: Still Shining":

DILLA DAWG

R.I.P. Jay Dee
(I'll prob post some of Dilla's more unknown tracks and instrumentals later on)

I may be a little late to the party BUT have you SEEN the Adult Swim's video for FlyLO's (Flying Lotus) track "Zodiac Shit"?!!

Wow...just dope beyond belief. Good music + Good Visuals = Good Time.

Oh and if you're interested on what goin' on with me blah blah blah, I've just finished up finals hence the lack of music and also I've been really busy with my new job as well. With a little down time now I should def be submitting some new stuff between now and until break is over. Of course when it's over I'll still submit when the mood strikes. :)

I would make this post super long and thank everyone yada yada, but there's been an accident.

Yup if u were wondering what was going on with the non-posting of beats last week and why I haven't really been on much is because my laptop is broke. Yup, happened about a week ago.

This is just primarily an update on what's goin on with me. So, until I get my laptop no beats can be posted and I can't really communicate with KOA over Skype or AIM. So yeah, I'm not ignoring y'all lol.

I'm currently in the middle of finals week but I thought I'd update u guys while I'm on my school library's computer. Wish me luck on my Art History and Psychology Final!!

Peace out! And thank you guys for so much support. I really do appreciate the kind and constructive reviews and messages I get on the real.

Thanks!

...I've ALWAYS wanted to sample "The Price is Right" theme...

It seems as if I wasn't the only one who had that idea.

soooo many people have done it that it just feels tired now.

This is prob the best example of sampling this beat that I've found.

.
/* */
I don't really think I should but should I at least give the sample a try or should I put it to rest since the sample is so overused? Let me know!

how popular hip-hop is in the world...

yet how unpopular it is here on NG?

I mean, I don't want to seem like I'm whining or anything but, can somebody explain this connection (or disconnection) to me?

Discuss!

Isn't it strange.....

Anybody remember SA2 (Sonic Adventure 2)?

Weren't Knuckle's levels just the sickest music wise?

In particular, I remember the "Aquatic Mines" level. Damn the rap was hella wack, but the beat wass sooooo illl. Shit, that might've been part of my inspiration to go into beat making.
